Part 2 of this two-part series includes mapping and coordinating imagery, integrating plates of different sizes as well as various inking techniques. Using the registration grid (recommended) on your press you will learn how to accurately align or disperse multiple plates in a single composition. Some elements of chine colle’ will be addressed. If you still have your transparencies you will see that they are incredible aids in deciding how to use your photopolymer plates in conjunction with existing backgrounds as well as how to color a new monotype plate to coordinate with an existing photopolymer plate or image.
